Jose Mourinho is set to name a new captain at Real Madrid for the upcoming season in place of goalkeeper Iker Casillas.
Casillas, who has played over 450 times for the Spanish giants, is the current captain but it is believed that the Portuguese manager is in favour of having an outfield player as his captain.
During his time as manager of Chelsea and Inter, Mourinho had outfield captains in the shape of John Terry and Javier Zanetti respectively.
La Liga - Mourinho to strip Casillas of captaincyAllegedly, the 48-year old boss thinks it would be beneficial for his team to have one of the outfield 10 as captain because they are able to communicate with the referee in a more positive way.
It is rumoured that Sergio Ramos and Xabi Alonso are the two main candidates for the role. And although it may cause some controversy amongst Real Madrid fans, it seems that they have voted in numbers to put forward that the former Liverpool midfielder Alonso is the best option.

Google+ Overview

Google's new social network, Google+ premiered Tuesday promising a new spin on socializing online with a slick interface and unique spin on sharing with circles of friends. Google+ marks a departure from the social networking status quo represented by Facebook. The service launched to a limited number of users Tuesday in what Google is calling a "field trial." A few PCWorld staffers were lucky enough to be invited to try out the service (it’ll roll out to everybody in the coming months), so naturally we got right to testing the new service.

In general we thought the service borrowed some good ideas from the reigning king of social networks, Facebook, but also offers some cool new approaches to sharing content and managing privacy. In short, Google+ is a solid start to an insurgent social networking platform that is sure to be enhanced rapidly over the coming months, and could soon offer a solid alternative to Facebook. Now, let's dig in.

The "Harry Potter" franchise comes to an end for fans on July 15, but for the stars of the best-selling franchise, the end came over a year and a half ago.
"Potter" stars Emma Watson and Tom Felton hit the MTV Movie Awards red carpet Sunday to represent their series against previous victors "Twilight" but said that it was a bit surreal to be there supporting a series they finished filming so long ago.
"It's been over, like, a year and a half since we shot it, and I haven't seen any of it," Felton said.
The final press rounds for "Deathly Hallows, Part 2" will be taking place this summer, something Watson called "very strange." She said she would probably shed some more tears when the end came for "Harry Potter" all over again.
"Maybe a few. Maybe one or two, just little ones," she said.
The "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2" footage that was shown during the MTV Movie Awards was the first Felton had seen of any of the "Part 2" footage, which is impressive, because many trailers have been released in anticipation of the July 15 release date.

Lionel Messi unhurt after Argentine Teen throws Punch to Messi

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina — Lionel Messi was unharmed when a youngster apparently threw a punch at him as he was leaving a restaurant in his home city of Rosario on Thursday.
The assailant was among a throng of people looking for autographs from the Barcelona star, a witness told Argentine TV. It was not clear if the punch landed, or what the intent was. Messi went on signing autographs.
“There was a crush of people waiting outside,” Pablo Moyano, who was working in the restaurant, told Argentine TV. “There were kids, reporters, photographers waiting … and one of the kids tried to punch him. I don’t know if he pulled it off. He went running afterward.”

Associated Press photographer Jose Granta, who was covering Messi on Thursday, said the youth raced off.
Other witnesses said the suspect was dressed in the uniform of a school a few streets away.
Messi tried to play down the incident on his Facebook page.
“To relax all those people that have asked us about the truth of the accident coming out of the restaurant, tell them I did not receive any blow from anyone. I’m perfectly OK,” he wrote.
Messi arrived in Rosario, about 500 kilometers (300 miles) north of Buenos Aires, this week for a holiday before practice starts next week for the Copa America — the South American championship. The Copa America opens July 1 with Argentina facing Bolivia.

The MI6 decided to hack an Al-Qaeda website and replace The homemade Bomb recipe with an Ellen Degeneres Cupcake recipe. Oh, those crazy British.
The code, which had been inserted into the original magazine by the British intelligence hackers, was actually a web page of recipes for “The Best Cupcakes in America” published by the Ellen DeGeneres chat show.
