Gothenburg - Not content categories awarded as winner of the Safety Car in the use of technology performance volvo s60. Swedish auto manufacturer Volvo, extending engine variant of T3 and T4. Both the engine capacity of 1.6 liters GTDi (Gasoline Turbocharged Direct Injection).

T3 GTDi capable of producing 150 hp power and 240 Nm of torque, which is standard Euro 5. This engine mated with 6-speed automatic transmission.

While T4 GTDi have energy greater than T3. T4 is capable of throwing power 180 hp with 240 Nm of torque (270 Nm with overboost) combined danotomatis manual transmission 6-speed and automatic.

Both engines blended with high quality aluminum material that has a light weight and technology imbued plus Twin turbo VVT (Variable Valve Timing).

"We predict this machine is more economical and could reduce emissions by 20% compared to the machines that have greater capacity and has the same performance," said Magnus Jonsson, Senior Vice President of Product Development Volvo.

Volvo plans to begin using this new engine in the Volvo S60 and V60 starting next spring. GTDi could use fuel ethanol 85 (E85).
