Mercedes Arrow Is A Lightweight Two-Seater Vehicle Gives You The Feeling Of Sliding With A Bobsleigh
0 comments Posted by org at 8:28 AMMercedes Arrow has been designed to draw a comparison with other recreational vehicles such as motorcycles, jetskis or personalized aircraft. This stunning vehicle gives its passengers the ride of their life. The bobsleigh shaped body, the lightweight materials and the sporty look enable it to shoot through heavy traffic like an arrow from a bow. This experience can only be enjoyed by two passengers, their seats are placed one in front of another. One of the stunning features this futuristic car has, is that it combines TANDEM with MAGLEV technology to take sharp corners. This innovative feature allows the body of the car to tilt left and right when the car is taking corners, thus minimizing the wheels tilt angle. There is an almost non-existing chance for the vehicle to slide out of control. Due to the slim body, the wheels cover the same space of tarmac, just as a contemporary car, eliminating the risk of the car flipping over. The designer, Felipe Palermo, found inspiration in the old Silver Arrows, the SLR McLaren and the 1954 Gull-Wing.
Designer : Felipe Nogueria Palermo
The whole design and idea put this concept automotive in a near future, where people won’t be using cars anymore. A future where the whole transport itself will be based on rail systems. Felipe’s Arrow vehicle is designed for fun in the weekends, a recreational vehicle. The air intake placed in the rear of the car, over the last passenger, reminds us that the whole vehicle is based on Mercedes’ racing history and its super-cars. The airintake is also a starting point for the side bars, which strengthens the body and hold between them a small wind shield in front of the driver. Mercedes Arrow will be equipped with the next generation tire technology. They will have the ability to never wear out, the driver will be able to re-inject them with rubber and take the car for a spin, again. Felipe Palermo has applied everything he has learned at the IED, where he graduated in Car Design in 2007. He also has a post degree in Transportation Design and Industrial Design at FAAP, and is currently working at Mercedes-Benz Design Studio in Brazil.

Audi unveiled the Audi TTS in 2008. It was designed to a powerful sport car. Now Audi debuted the 2010 model of TTS after two years later. The new model will be sold in both coupe and roadster bodies.
Compare to the second generation TT, I especial like the original TT. But the second generation is more powerful than the original, so if your like driving you may like the second generation. Audi equip with turbocharged performance and seductive design meet exquisite craftsmanship in the 2010 Audi TTS, but U.S.-bound versions are missing the one feature they need most: a true manual transmission.
The new AUDI TTS gets a mild facelift highlighted, complemented by revised chrome accenting on its grille and redone foglamps and housings. Other exterior change include dual chrome exhaust tips,a distinct front and rear fascia as well as LED driving lights and a set of slick 18 inch wheels. Xenon headlamps with LED daytime running lights join a tastefully sporty front end design that is high-tech, fun and yet serious in appearance.
Inside, the new model is available as a four-seat coupe and a two-seat roadster. Audi Navigation System Plus displays 3D map graphics on a 6.5-inch LCD screen, also equips with MP3 memory card slots and a six-CD changer. The Audi Magnetic Ride system uses shocks filled with magnetically charged fluid. Computer controls change the damping rates to match the driving situation, and the driver can choose between Normal and Sport modes for soft comfort or stiff fun.
The Audi TTS is equipped with a standard high output version of the direct injected 2.0 Liter engine, which making a maximum output of 265 HP and 258 lb-ft of torque, pound-feet from 2500 to 5000 rpm. The additional power and customized Quattro all wheel drive system helps the TTS accelerate from 0 to 60 MPH in only 4.9 seconds. Thanks to Audi's advanced TFSI technology both the TTS Coupe and Roadster get as much as 29 MPG on the highway. The TTS is offered only with the tronic six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission in the U.S.

The 2010 Commander is largely a carryover from the 2009 model year, and is available in two trims: Sport and Limited. It's also available as a rear-wheel or four-wheel drive vehicle. If you're dead set on the Commander, check out this month's best Jeep Deals to see what discounts and incentives are available.
The second system, called Quadra-Trac II, is standard on the Commander Limited and optional on the Commander Sport and Rocky Mountain. This system contains an electronically controlled clutch pack that engages to transfer up to 100 percent of the available engine torque to the axle wit hthe most traction. This system also adds a Neutral and Low range selection for special situations.
The third and final system Jeep offers on the Commander is the most complex system, the Quadra-Drive II, standard on the Overland, but optional on all other models, in keeping with Jeep's “You Talk, We Listen” attitude. This system has the “brains” to deliver power only where it is usable, in a normal or low range, based on speed sensor inputs and distributed by Electronic Limited Slip Differentials (“ELSD” in Jeep speak) in both the front and rear axles as well as the transfer case. These three inputs allow the computer to constantly offer the power where it can be most safely utilized, by the tires with the most traction.
The tires on the Commander remain as Goodyear being the supplier, in sizes of P245/65R17 BSW all-terrain as standard, OWL as optional on all but the Overland models, where 245/65R18 BSW tires are standard. Jeep offers 2 different wheels, depending on the tires supplied. In the 17 inch diameter size, a 17” x 7.5” inch machined face aluminum wheel is utilized, and in the optional 18 inch size, an 18” x 7.5” Chrome clad aluminum wheel is supplied.
Trailer towing packages are optional on all models except the Overland, where the high end Trailer Towing Group IV is standard, in keeping with the nature of the fully equipped vehicle.
Jeep has announced enhancements to the 2008 Commander models, Overland and Limited, that include: No Charge MyGIG Infotainment System with integral Navigation system (a $900 value), Power Sunroof w/Command View dual skylights, available SIRIUS BackSeat TV, the SmartBeam headlamp system, which adjusts to ambient lighting conditions, illuminated (fade in and out) entry, and active “three blink-then-off” lane change turn signal position.
